About Devil Pocket
This was our graduation project. We had roughly 3 months to complete it.
I worked together with Joris de Kleijn, since we’ve proven that we can work together quite effectively like on Borssele Meltdown.
Throughout the project, one of the major requirements was documentation. The game design document has to include a plan of action, technical requirements, functional requirements, sketches, and much more. The final document was 60 pages long.
On top of that we also had to frequently talk to the “customer”, in this case one of our teachers, and we also had to talk with the exam assessors. In total, we had 9 assessor meetings and 5 customer meetings.
The game features over 30 monsters to find each with their own unique moves. Many quests to complete and many NPCs to talk to. We also managed to make the game run on Xbox One.
It was a long and perilous journey but the game got completed, the documentation got accepted, and we could mark this as a success.
